トランプ氏当選から少し時間が経ち全体に落着いてきたように思います
さて英語の話になりますが
Since the election, some time has passed, and it seems that things have generally settled down.
I was surprised that it turned into such a landslide victory.
That’s because, if I recall correctly, most polls showed Harris leading by a small margin.
So, as the votes were counted after the election, and I watched Trump steadily gain ground, with the map turning red, I thought, "Did the polls miss the mark?"
Now, turning to English language matters:
When someone like Trump is elected as the next president, but there’s still time before the inauguration—meaning the current president is still Biden—we refer to the next president as "President-elect."
It makes sense since they’re not yet the president, but it’s also clear they will be.
In such a case, this term is used.
I hope that, moving forward, the United States, which seemed divided, will come together and continue to grow and prosper.
